GI Expedition

Gasherbrum I, also known as Hidden Peak, is the 11th-highest mountain in the world, towering at 8,080 meters (26,509 feet). Located in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan, Gasherbrum I is part of the Gasherbrum massif, which includes Gasherbrum II and several other notable peaks. The first successful summit was achieved by the American expedition in 1958, led by Pete Schoening and Andrew Kauffman.
Despite its high elevation, Gasherbrum I is often overshadowed by the more famous K2 and Broad Peak. However, it remains one of the most coveted climbs for high-altitude mountaineers due to its technical difficulty and the challenging weather conditions found at such altitudes.
