Itinerary
Arrive in Islamabad, meet the trekking team. Sightseeing tour (optional) to Faisal Mosque, Lok Virsa Museum, or Daman-e-Koh. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Flight option: 1-hour scenic flight to Skardu (weather dependent). Drive option: 18-20 hours via the Karakoram Highway, passing through Chilas and Jaglot. Explore Skardu Bazaar, visit Satpara Lake or Kharpocho Fort. Overnight stay in Skardu.
Scenic drive along the Shyok River, passing through Khaplu and Machulo villages. Meet porters and prepare for the trek. Overnight stay in a guesthouse or campsite in Hushe.
Trek begins with a gentle ascent through lush green meadows and riverbanks. Reach Saicho Camp, a beautiful open valley with stunning views. Overnight stay in tents at Saicho.
Trek through glacier moraine, alpine pastures, and steep rocky trails. Arrive at Charakusa Glacier Base Camp, surrounded by K6, K7, Link Sar, and Drifika. Overnight stay at Base Camp.
Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of some of the most challenging peaks in the Karakoram. Optional hike to explore Charakusa Glacier and its surroundings. Capture stunning photographs of sunrise and sunset over the peaks. Overnight stay at Base Camp.
Descend back through Saicho Camp. Return to Hushe Village. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Drive back through Khaplu Valley. Visit Khaplu Fort and Chaqchan Mosque. Free time for sightseeing and shopping in Skardu. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Flight option: 1-hour flight (weather dependent). Drive option: 18-20 hours via the Karakoram Highway. Arrival in Islamabad. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Transfer to the airport for international flights. End of the trek.
