Join us for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of northern Pakistan! Over 16 days, we will take you from Islamabad to the beautiful valleys of Skardu, the remote Hushe Valley, and the stunning Hunza region. This trip is perfect for those who love trekking, nature, and exploring local culture.
You’ll trek through green meadows, cross glacial streams, and walk under towering peaks like Masherbrum and Nanga Parbat. We’ll spend time exploring the Masherbrum Glacier, stay in traditional camps, and visit friendly villages in Hushe and Karimabad. Along the way, there will be chances to take amazing photos of mountains, lakes, and glaciers.
We’ll also explore Hunza’s historic forts, colorful bazaars, and turquoise lakes, and drive up to Khunjerab Pass, the highest border crossing in the world. This trip is a mix of adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery, all with the support of our experienced Expedition Pakistan guides, who will make sure you are safe, comfortable, and enjoying every step of the journey.

Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the Expedition Pakistan team and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, meet your personal guide for a detailed trip briefing and gear check to ensure you are fully prepared for the adventure ahead. Overnight stay at hotel in Islamabad.
Today we have two options: Option A: Catch an early morning flight to Skardu (approx. 55 minutes). If weather permits, enjoy breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat and other towering peaks. Upon arrival, guests have free time to rest or explore Skardu Bazaar. Trekking permits will be finalized at the local government office. Dinner will be enjoyed together as a group, with introductions to your trekking staff from Expedition Pakistan. Option B: If flights are not possible, travel overland to Skardu from Islamabad (20–22 hours) via the Karakoram Highway. To break up the journey, there may be an overnight stay in Chilas. The Expedition Pakistan team ensures your comfort and safety throughout the journey.
The day is dedicated to final trek preparations. The Expedition Pakistan team will organize food and supplies for the group, while guests enjoy free time in Skardu. In the late afternoon, we will optionally visit Kharpocho Fort for stunning valley views. Dinner is shared as a group before setting off for the trek. The adventure begins! After breakfast, load up 4×4 jeeps for a scenic 5–6 hour drive through winding mountain trails and picturesque villages to Hushe, the gateway to the K7 Valley. Overnight stay in campsite at Hushe.
After breakfast, begin your trek towards Parbisan, enjoying pristine mountain landscapes along the way. Trekking time: 3–4 hours. Overnight stay in camp at Parbisan.
After an early breakfast, continue trekking to Brumbrama Camp. The Masherbrum Glacier lies ahead, with the magnificent Masherbrum Peak dominating the skyline. Trekking time: 3–4 hours. Overnight stay in camp with glacier views.
Take a well-deserved rest day and explore the Masherbrum Glacier. Marvel at lush green valleys and the imposing Masherbrum Peak. This is an excellent day for photography, acclimatization, and enjoying nature at its finest. Overnight stay in camp.
After breakfast at 06:30 am, trek back to Hushe over 6–7 hours. The descent is gentle and scenic, passing through alpine pastures and traditional villages. Overnight stay in campsite at Hushe.
Conclude the K7 Valley trek and bid farewell to the trekking staff. Travel by jeep back to Skardu (approx. 4–5 hours), stopping for lunch en route. Arrive at the hotel and enjoy a refreshing shower. In the evening, visit the concerned department for debriefing. Overnight stay in Skardu.
A day of relaxation, reflection, and recovery. Guests can do laundry, rest, or explore the city at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Skardu.
Drive along the scenic Indus River to Gilgit (approx. 240 km). The journey takes you through newly constructed roads with spectacular mountain views. Explore the bustling bazaars of Gilgit, full of trade goods from the region. Continue to Hunza for overnight stay.
Discover the charms of Karimabad, the gateway to the mountains. Explore Baltit and Altit Forts, stroll cobblestone streets, and savor local Hunza cuisine. Enjoy free time at Café Hunza or capturing photographs of the stunning valley landscapes. Overnight stay at Mountain Story Hotel in Karimabad.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Khunjerab Pass, the highest border crossing in the world. En route, visit Attabad Lake, Borit Lake, Passu, and the snouts of Gulkin Glacier. Keep an eye out for wildlife in the Karakoram National Park. Return to Passu for overnight stay.
Drive back to Gilgit along the Karakoram Highway, enjoying the dramatic landscapes along the way. Overnight stay at hotel in Gilgit.
Complete the road journey back to Islamabad via Besham. Overnight stay at hotel.
Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for onward flights. Check-out is at 11:00 am, with optional additional hotel stay if needed. Expedition Pakistan wishes you a safe journey home!
