Itinerary
Arrive in Islamabad, meet the trekking team. Sightseeing tour (optional) to Faisal Mosque, Lok Virsa Museum, or Daman-e-Koh. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Flight option: 1-hour scenic flight to Gilgit (weather dependent). Drive option: 12-14 hours via the Karakoram Highway, passing through Besham, Chilas, and Nanga Parbat Viewpoint. Explore Gilgit Bazaar and visit the Kargah Buddha. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Scenic drive through Hunza Valley and Nagar Valley. Stop at Rakaposhi Viewpoint for photography. Arrive at Minapin Village, the starting point of the trek. Meet porters and prepare for the trek. Overnight stay in Minapin.
Trek through lush green pastures and forests. Gentle ascent with breathtaking views of Rakaposhi and Diran Peak. Reach Hapakun, a beautiful campsite with fresh water and grassy meadows. Overnight stay in tents.
Steep ascent through rocky trails and alpine meadows. Pass through Tagaphari, a scenic campsite with glacier views. Reach Rakaposhi Base Camp, offering a stunning view of Rakaposhi’s ice wall and the Minapin Glacier. Explore the area and enjoy the serene mountain atmosphere. Camp overnight at Base Camp.
Enjoy panoramic views of Rakaposhi, Diran Peak, and Hunza Valley. Optional short hike to explore Minapin Glacier. Relax, take photos, and soak in the beauty of the Karakoram Range. Overnight stay at Base Camp.
Descend back through Hapakun and alpine meadows. Return to Minapin Village. Overnight stay in Minapin.
Drive back to Gilgit via Nagar Valley. Free time to explore the city or visit Gilgit River Viewpoint. Overnight stay in a hotel.
