The Nobande Sobande Glacier and Snow Lake areas in Pakistan’s Karakoram Mountains are remote, wild, and ideal for high-altitude ski mountaineering. These regions have several peaks where experienced mountaineers can climb and then ski down long snow slopes.

🏔️ Choktoi Peak (6,150 m)

Choktoi Peak is close to the Choktoi Glacier. It has steep and challenging terrain, making it suitable for experienced ski mountaineers only.

🏔️ Hanispur (5,875 m)

Located along the Nobande Sobande Glacier, Hanispur offers steep snow slopes that can be skied after reaching the summit.

🏔️ Skamri Peak

Skamri Peak rises above the meeting point of the Panmagh and Nobande Sobande Glaciers. It offers possible ski routes for advanced skiers, depending on snow and weather conditions.

🏔️ Baintha Kabata (6,260 m)

Visible from the Choktoi Glacier, Baintha Kabata has difficult terrain and is a good objective for skilled ski mountaineers.

🏔️ Baintha Ahrta (6,370 m)

Located near Baintha Kabata, this peak also offers strong ski mountaineering possibilities with steep snow faces.

⚠️ Extremely Difficult Peaks (Experts Only)

Latok Peaks

The Latok group includes Latok I, II, III, and IV. These mountains are very steep and technical. Skiing on these peaks is extremely difficult and suitable only for top-level professionals.

Ogre Peaks (Baintha Brakk)

The Ogre (7,270 m) and Ogre II (6,885 m) are famous for being very hard to climb. Ski descents here are highly technical and recommended only for expert ski mountaineers.
